So, while this blog is run by a two man team, I have not been doing my part. Instead, I have been running around making videos for several different artists and different magazines. From New York to California, I am going to catch you up on what it means to create fresh fruition on the daily. I wanted to work with Nujabes one day, and felt like I was on my way to eventually complete that goal. Then he died. Time is precious, life is short, make you follow your dreams.

According to what it says...

"Late night on Feb 26th 2010, in the Minato Ward of Tokyo, there was an accident on the expressway. He was rushed by ambulance to a hospital in Shibuya, where they were unable to restart his heart."

This personally makes me really quite sad, as Nujabes and his music have always had a special place with me. I'm sure that like with many others, he was my introduction into this realm of jazzy hip-hop that I'm so infatuated with, and for that I thank him.

I was able to meet him once, working at the Tribe/Guinness Record shop in Shibuya, but damn, I wish I had talked to him some more. I always figured I would just see him again someday. I guess the next time I made it to Tokyo I'll be going to his grave to offer incense. That's just really really sad to think about....
