A solid release by Grooveman Spot. Not much of a jazz release, but a mellow release nonetheless. I like a lot of what Jazzy Sport puts out, and though I prefer Gagle and DJ Mu-R to DJ Kou-G, it's still not bad. Definitely take a listen, it's very likely you'll fall in love with it. Great stuff!!

Props once again go to

IF YOU LIKE THE MUSIC, BUY IT!! Jazzy Sport isn't a huge record label, they only have a small store in Tokyo (see pic below) and deserve support, unlike mainstream labels and artists who produce overpriced crap.

Grooveman Spot

The new Grooveman Spot video from his new album apparently released last week. I'm a big fan of DJ Kou-G so as soon as I can find it publicly I'll post it up here with my usual blurb of what I think of it. So far though, I think it's gonna be a real winner. Check out the video for now..

Another one of my underground mixtapes that I scooped up years ago. This one was pretty good if I recall, so you should definitely give it a listen.

And I'm now in a good mood!! I got a job with the US Census Bureau! It's only temporary, but it will sure help pay those bills of mine. One less thing to worry about for now.

Enjoy!!

I was wondering when to post this album..and thought now would be a good time. I picked this album up last summer from Tribe/Guinness Records in Tokyo after listening to it on the sample they had playing, and I loved it. Just as the artist and title name goes, this is a very chill bit of music, which is what I love. I figured something on the down-low like this wouldn't make its way online so I bought it.

Anyway, this album now has sentimental value to me. Why? Because I bought it from Mr. Nujabes at the store, and now he's gone. Sigh....so sad. Also listening to it brings me back to the store, and my time in Tokyo just chillin out and listening to this. Of course, you're not likely to have the same experience, but still, it's great music.

01. Justin' Love (feat. Monday Michiru)
02. Rock With You (feat. Rinko Urashima & Tribeca)
03. Into Your Groove (feat. Elisha La'Verne)
04. Wuthering Heights (feat. Ellie & 1773)
05. Hero
06. Break Away (feat. Raja-Nee)
07. Wisdom Calling (feat. Braille & Theory Hazit)
08. Etupirka (feat. Mr. Miranda)

10. Love Happiness (feat. Saramary)
11. Graceful Star (feat. Mei Kuroishi)
12. Justin' Love Pt.2 (feat. Monday Michiru & 1773)

As a short break from the mixtapes, I had to post this one up. I'm a fan of Volta Masters because they're fresh. While you may not think that using other people's productions, changing em up a little bit, and sticking some vocals on there (or not) isn't fresh, it really is. I'm usually a fan of most of the original productions used, and he always adds his unique spin to everything. It's fresh, and you should check it out.

Here's a preview with the official video for Justin' Love with Monday Michiru using DJ Cam's "Rebirth Of Cool" production. I actually like Monday Michiru..maybe I'll post some of her older stuff I've got one of these days..

Anyway, as always, enjoy!

Another one of those mixtapes I've had for many years that I found the tracklist to. Unfortunately, the quality is quite low, so it's more suitable for a rainy day or lounging around than bumping in your car or at a party, but hey can't complain right? It's free after all!! Maybe you'll find a new artist you like from here..you never know.
